Casino del Diablo

Inspired in a local legend from Hermosillo, Sonora. Mexico.
The story goes something like this: There is a New Year's party at a famous local club. There is this girl who really wants to go to this event, but her mom asks her to stay because she's not feeling very well. The girl, disobeying her mom, escapes and goes to the party. When she arrives at the place everyone's dancing and having a good time. She notices a very handsome man staring at her and eventually he asks her to dance. They dance for a while and people around start noticing a very strong smell, like rotten eggs people say (Sulfur). Then, the handsome guy starts transforming very dramatically into a demon-like beast (The Devil). The entire place bursts into flames and everyone runs away. The girl allegedly disappeared or went insane.

My version of the story: The Devil just wanted to have some fun but people overreacted as usual.

Dia de los muertos

Day of the dead + Mexican pointy boots

This is my tribute to the happy and colourful day of the dead. The pointy boots (Yes, that's a thing) I thought might look good on a skeleton.

The Black Keys

Just a little piece of fan art of The Black Keys I made recently. I might make it a poster!

PIERLUI

This is my short film project from animation school. This short became an obsession and led me to a couple of sleepless nights. I'm very pleased with the results and I learnt a lot so it was totally worth the time and effort.

A piece of concept art I used for the pitch.

My first idea of how the environment should look and feel.

Something old

Here's some stuff I did before I studied Digital Animation about 2 years ago. I didn't know much 3D so I used After effects 3D attributes. I made this when I was working in fixae and the idea was developed by the team at that time. The ad is selling shampoo that makes your hair grow back regardless of what nasty genes you have inherited.

Here's a better view of the generations of bald people in the family.
